FlipScore Privacy Policy

Effective October 1, 2026

FlipScore is a Chrome extension that checks what a Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, or OfferUp listing sells for elsewhere. It works inside your browser. What you look at, watch, track, and buy stays on your computer. The one exception is FlipScore Pro: if you buy it, Stripe handles the payment, and a small FlipScore license server keeps your license key and checks it (see FlipScore Pro). We never sell or share data.

What FlipScore reads

FlipScore only reads pages on the sites it supports, and only to do its job:

FlipScore does not read your messages, profile, friends, or any page outside those sites.

What FlipScore sends, and to whom

To find sold prices, FlipScore turns a listing's title into a short search (for example, "Nintendo Switch OLED") and looks it up directly from your browser on:

These are ordinary requests from your browser, like visiting those sites yourself, so those sites can see your IP address and browser type, and may see cookies you have with them. Their own privacy policies apply. FlipScore sends them only the search words: not the listing's address, your location, or anything about you.

For Pro users, FlipScore also re-checks the eBay sold price of watched items about once a day in the background, the same kind of search.

The side panel also shows listing photos, which your browser loads from the listing site's own image servers.

What FlipScore stores

Everything is saved only on your computer, in Chrome's extension storage:

Nothing here is synced to other devices or sent to us. Removing the extension deletes all of it. Exporting your watchlist or flip tracker to CSV, or downloading a backup from Settings, saves a file you control. A backup file holds your watchlist, flips, saved searches, price history, and settings (not your Pro license key); it never leaves your computer unless you move it.

FlipScore Pro

Pro is sold through Stripe (Stripe Managed Payments, shown at checkout as "Sold through Link"), which handles checkout, payment, the subscription, and sales tax as the merchant of record. Stripe collects your payment details under its own terms and privacy policy (Link privacy policy, Stripe privacy policy) and shares your name, email address, and order with us as the seller, which we use only to provide Pro, answer support requests, and keep the records the law requires. We never see your card details.

After checkout, Stripe sends you to the FlipScore license server (hosted on Cloudflare), which shows your license key. To create and check keys, the license server keeps:

To turn Pro on, FlipScore sends your license key and that computer label to the license server. About once a day it checks the key again, so a cancelled subscription turns Pro off. Deactivating Pro in the side panel removes that computer from the license server. Nothing else is sent: not your watchlist, flips, or browsing. If you'd like your license record deleted after you cancel, email us.

Problem reports

When a site changes its layout and FlipScore can't read it, the side panel tells you and offers a Report a problem link. The link opens your own email app with a message already filled in, which you can read and edit before choosing to send it. The message contains only:

It does not include listing addresses, page contents, or your watchlist. Nothing is sent unless you send the email yourself. If you do, we use it only to fix FlipScore and reply to you.

What FlipScore doesn't do

FlipScore's use of information follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Children

FlipScore isn't directed at children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect information from anyone.

Changes

If FlipScore ever starts handling data differently, we'll update this policy and its effective date first, and ask for your consent where the law or the Chrome Web Store requires it.
